I N T E R N S H I P S

Interns work out of the Center in downtown Santa Barbara during our hours of operation, 12-4 PM Tuesday through Saturday. Interns usually spend 10 hours per week for 2-3 months at the museum.

Casa Dolores is happy to work with you and your school to meet your course requirements and educational goals.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer stipends or housing at this time.

Past positions include: Graphic Design Intern, Collections & Exhibition Intern, Architectural History Intern, and Education & Public Programs Intern.

Collections Intern:

Position Duties:

• Assist with Collections inventory
• Catalog artifacts
• Develop finding system with tags, labels, etc.
• Assist with maintenance of the collection and ongoing exhibitions

Requirements:

• Interest in Mexican art and culture
• Interest in museum database software or collection management
• Comprehension of general/best museum practices
• Excellent attention to detail
• Superior research and writing skills
• Ability to work independently
• Self-motivated
• Photography skills, a plus
• Intern must also have and use his/her own laptop and applicable software
