Picture
THE DEVOTION OF ALTARS ON THE DAY OF THE DEAD exhibition will OPEN on October 10, 2023.
Casa Dolores prepares in advance to put up its Day of the Dead Altar. The most significant celebration of the year in México. Pre-Hispanic elements are mixed with the Roman Catholic customs of All Saints' Day and Day of the Dead. Devotion and prayers are imminent for families who have suffered the loss of a loved one. It is customary to place on the altars images of highly venerated virgins, crosses, angels and saints. Handcrafted by talent artisans, using materials as straw, clay, wood, palm, tin or decorated nichos.

La exposición LA DEVOCIÓN DE LOS ALTARES EN EL DÍA DE MUERTOS abrirá el 10 de octubre de 2023.
