ARTISAN WORK
Casa Dolores' dining room celebrates the art and culture of the leading Oaxaca artisans.
The fascinating creation of works by artisans such as the Aguilar brothers, Josefina, Jesús and Concepción, and Dolores Porras. Their works can range from intricate carvings in clay or wood to creations with the use of natural materials, elements such as fibers and corn husks. Each artist has their own unique style, source of inspiration and approach to their craft. Everyday life and fantasy are expressed in these intricate wonders of elaborate and beautifully colored pottery, including Frida Kahlo figures, Zapotec creatures, vases, mermaids, alebríjes, and more.
